Marketing online offers a whole plethora of options. There are articles, press releases, videos, podcasts, banner ads, Ppc, pop-ups and much more.
Before we analyze and decide which methods are best let's divide the varied choices into two categories. The way we will distinguish our options are by either they are paid advertising or quest machine optimization methods (also known as organic marketing).
Paid Methods (this is only a partial list):
• Ppc - pay-per-click
• Cpa - cost-per-action
• Newsletter Advertising
• Paid Textlinks
• Banner Ads
Organic Methods include:
• article Marketing
• Press Releases
• Videos
• Podcasts
• And more...
There is one key variation in the middle of these two categories. Paid advertising can only drive traffic to your site so long as you are paying for it. It is a short-term benefit that may give you traffic Today and be gone tomorrow. The cost stops, your ad is gone and goodbye possible traffic.
Organic methods on the other hand are great for the long-term. It takes a while to build up your traffic flow but if you work hard and do your job well the results can last for years to come.
The belief is simple. If you pay for an advertisement you get immediate traffic to your site. You stop paying there is no way for whatever to know about you. It is no more than a good short-term solution or a huge price if you use it long-term.
What we want is constant free traffic. For that we turn to organic marketing or quest machine optimization. It is "the art of working once but getting paid time and time again".
This method is all about Content. You want to work hard to put out high-quality, well-written, modern article that will have population curious in you.
All the material you put out will comprise backlinks that point back to your site (hence the name backlinks). This is why it is so important that the article you put out is Good. Good sufficient that population will want to read on and hopefully click on your link to find out more.
So when you put your article on the web not only are you creating backlinks which will drive traffic to your site but the more excellent your article the more you will raise your ranking in the quest engines.
Be patient as it will take time to build yourself up in the quest engines but the results of your efforts will be a long lifecycle for your content. It will stay on the web for years without you doing any added work or incurring any unnecessary expense.
